Join us for this two-day Barreau-accredited course offered by the Canadian Centre for International Justice, in partnership with the UUÖ±²¥ Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism.

After a sold-out first edition, this unique course on internationalÌýjustice returns toÌýMontreal for a second year.

Taught by some of Canada'sÌýleading experts in internationalÌýjustice, this course explores both the legalÌýand practical issues involved in the pursuit ofÌýjustice for war crimes, crimesÌýagainst humanity, genocide and torture.

The course has two modules.ÌýModuleÌýI, taught in English, provides a generalÌýintroduction to the field ofÌýinternational justice that is aimed not just at lawyers and lawÌýstudents, but students,Ìýacademics, and professionals with an interest in these issues.ÌýModule II, taught in French, provides aÌýmore focused overview of the legal processesÌýthrough which individuals can beÌýheld civilly and criminally accountable in Canada andÌýabroad for internationalÌýcrimes.ÌýThis year, module II also includes a set of updatedÌýcourseÌýoptions for participants who attended the course last year or who are alreadyÌýknowledgeable about international justice.

The two modules provide 12 hours of CLE activity accredited by the Barreau du Québec and qualifies as CLE activity with the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Cost for the entire course: $350 for lawyers; $225 for academics and NGOs; $100 for students and retirees.
