Come celebrate the tomato harvest, and the fifth season of UU直播 Feeding UU直播, with a free, five-course tomato-themed meal鈥攁nd musical entertainment courtesy of a UU直播 student jazz trio. As part of Discover UU直播鈥檚 Engage UU直播 event, UU直播鈥檚 Student Housing and Hospitality Services will be preparing鈥攁nd serving鈥攆resh dishes made from tomatoes grown on our very own farm on the Macdonald Campus in Sainte Anne de Bellevue. The menu will include:

• 500 pounds of tomato salsa with nachos
• 500 litres of gazpacho
• 2,500 pounds of Greek salad鈥攁 potential Guinness World Record!
• Tomato pizza and pasta with fresh tomato sauce
• A 500-pound tomato cake

This event is open to the general public. Everyone is welcome.

We need 100 volunteers to help prepare and serve the meal. If you鈥檙e interested, please sign-up using our online registration form. (And if you鈥檙e not able to volunteer, you鈥檙e still most welcome to come eat鈥攖he more, the merrier!)

UU直播 Feeding UU直播 recognizes the importance of locally grown, seasonal fruits and vegetables in minimizing the carbon footprint of community food services, on campus and beyond. Each year, the initiative provides thousands of students with food grown on the Macdonald Campus. This year鈥檚 tomato harvest event will also donate approximately 2,000 pounds of tomato salad to organizations that help feed Montrealers in need, including the Old Brewery Mission, Moisson Montreal and Meals on Wheels.

Everyone is welcome. The event is free, no reservations required.
