Earlier today there were a number of news reports about a baby, Rafael Champagne, who will need home oxygen. These reports indicated that the baby's mother, C茅line Levasseur, would not be able to afford the home oxygen due to financial constraints. Dr. Keith Barrington, Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the MUHC, explains that "in fact, when the baby is medically ready to go home, the cost of the home oxygen system will be covered by the RAMQ."
