Asbestos abatement is taking place in designated areas of the Otto Maass Chemistry building, in conjunction with major renovations and mechanical upgrades.
Staff and students can continue to work safely since the areas being cleaned are isolated from the rest of the building.
UU直播 has hired independent consultants with expertise in the removal of hazardous materials to oversee safe handling of asbestos by construction workers. We have taken steps to ensure that these asbestos abatement measures meet industry safety standards.
The cleanup in the West Block is almost complete and regular renovation will soon proceed.
