Otto Maass

Third floor, west block laboratories are finished and researchers are moving in.

Third floor, corner block laboratory has been demolished and is ready for reconstruction.

Penthouse mechanical rooms have new mechanical units, which will听be linked to the heating and cooling system.听New听chimneys have been installed on the Otto Maass roof and will be connected to the exhaust systems.听 Mechanical and exhaust connections are being made on an ongoing basis as contractors renovate sections of the building. They will be fully installed and linked at the completion of all the renovations.

Conduits on Otto Maass building exterior and grounds are temporary. They are required so that the building can continue to be used for teaching and research while the permanent system is being renovated. Once the permanent ventilation system is up and running, the building facade will be restored to its original state.

Pulp and Paper

Demolition has begun in the basement, 1st听and 2nd floors of the Pulp and Paper Building. Basement bathrooms have been demolished and are ready to be rebuilt.

A large portion of the 2nd floor has been completely stripped and is ready for new labs to be built. The areas being demolished are covered by plastic enclosures to enable research and teaching to continue in adjoining areas.
