This goal is achieved by managing these resources so that environmental pollution and degradation is minimized.
Fri, 13 May 2011 17:34:31 +0000 franca.della-rovere@UU直播.Ca 75 at /civil Environmental Engineering /civil/grad/areas/environmental
Description | Researchers

聽
Fri, 13 May 2011 17:34:31 +0000 jorge.sayat@mcgill.ca 81 at /civil Structural Engineering /civil/undergrad/areas/structural
Description | Recommended courses

聽

Description

Structural engineers are concerned with the conception, analysis, design and construction of components or assemblies to resist loads arising from internal and external forces. Solid mechanics is the study of the distribution of stresses that a given load produces when applied to a solid element, and the calculation of the resulting strains, given the characteristics of the materials that make up that element.
Fri, 13 May 2011 17:34:31 +0000 franca.della-rovere@UU直播.Ca 82 at /civil Transportation Engineering /civil/undergrad/areas/transportation
Description | Recommended courses

聽
Fri, 13 May 2011 17:34:30 +0000 franca.della-rovere@UU直播.Ca 74 at /civil Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering /civil/grad/areas/hydraulic
Description | Researchers

聽

Description

Fri, 13 May 2011 17:34:30 +0000 jorge.sayat@mcgill.ca 68 at /civil Geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering /civil/grad/areas/geotechnical
Description | Researchers

聽
Fri, 13 May 2011 17:34:30 +0000 jorge.sayat@mcgill.ca 72 at /civil Areas of Specialization /civil/grad/areas
Although the Department is not divided formally into sections, the fields of study and research can be grouped into four main areas: environmental engineering and water resources management, fluid mechanics and hydraulic engineering, geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering, as well as structural engineering and construction materials. Selected courses are also available in the area of transportation engineering. Descriptions of the topics of research and facilities in the four major areas are presented under each section:
Fri, 13 May 2011 17:34:24 +0000 jorge.sayat@mcgill.ca 38 at /civil Areas of Specialization /civil/undergrad/areas
Considerable freedom exists for students to influence the nature of their program of study in the civil engineering program.
