Dr Tamara Mijovic MD CM FRCSC is an assistant professor at the Department of Otolaryngology 鈥� Head and Neck Surgery at UU直播 and the Chair of the Division of Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery. She is the director of the UU直播 Temporal Bone Dissection Laboratory and the Adult Vestibular Laboratory at the MUHC. She leads the Otolaryngology Northern Mission with regular trips to Nunavik communities.
Prior to joining the faculty at UU直播, she graduated from the UU直播 Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery residency program in 2014. Dr Mijovic then pursued fellowship training in Otology and Neurotology at the University of British Columbia where she gained vast experience in specialized ear surgeries including cochlear implantation and Endoscopic Ear Surgery.
Dr. Mijovic has received numerous awards and scholarships including the prestigious FRSQ (Fond de Recherche en Sant茅 du Qu茅bec) research grant and the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology Fellowship Award.
Dr. Mijovic鈥檚 research interests span a variety of hearing and balance disorders with a focus on mechanisms of vestibular compensation, autoimmune inner ear diseases and endoscopic ear surgery. She continues to attend and present her research at conferences locally, nationally and internationally. She lectures regularly to medical students, residents and physicians.
She has a clinical practice at the Royal Victoria Hospital, the Jewish General Hospital as well in the community setting of H么pital de Verdun.
