Training Workshop: Literature Reviews: Why We Get Lost and How to Find Our Way Around (in French)
The Department of Family Medicine, in partnership with the Unit茅 de soutien SRAP Qu茅bec, is presenting "Literature Reviews: Why We Get Lost and How to Find Our Way Around", a training workshop facilitated by聽Quan Nha Hong, erg, MSc, PhD Postdoctoral Fellow, EPPI-Centre, University College London and the Institut national d鈥檈xcellence en sant茅 et en services sociaux (INESSS)聽 (INESSS).听
Literature reviews represent a large part of the scientific literature published and consulted by the scientific and non-scientific community. Traditionally, the methods used to conduct literature reviews were not always well described. These journals were criticized for their lack of objectivity and scientific rigour. To increase scientific rigour, researchers have developed methods to systematize the review process, commonly referred to as "systematic review". Since then, various types of literature reviews have been developed such as rapid review, journal review and scope review.
Main objectives
The learning objectives of this workshop are to:
- Distinguish between different types of reviews;
- Distinguish between synthesis methods;
- Understand the process of producing a systematic review.
