We're proud to announce that one of faculty members Dr. Mark Ware, Associate Professor in the UU直播 Department of Family Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology, is leading the launch of the听, one of the largest studies ever conducted on medical marijuana. This project has a registry for users of medical cannabis in Quebec (headed by The Research Institute of the UU直播 Health Centre (RI-MUHC) and the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids (CCIC)), allowing physicians to better manage its use and monitor patient safety. It represents the听world鈥檚 first research database on the use of cannabis for medical purposes and places the province at the forefront of research in the field of medical cannabis.听Over the long term, this ten-year project will result in a research database that will be made available to the international scientific community.听Dr. Ware is the principal investigator of the study,听Director of the听听(颁颁滨颁),听Director of Clinical Research at the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit of UU直播 Health Centre and an active member of the UU直播 Department of Family Medicine鈥檚 research and graduate studies division.
