Published: 30 September 2019

The UU直播 Practice-based Research Network听(PBRN) was pleased to support research projects during the 2018-2019 academic year. Indeed, as part of the calls for projects of R茅seau-1 Qu茅bec (R-1 QC), the PBRN听supported the submission of :

  1. Three projects for the call for protocol development projects, two of which received a grant of 5,000$ dollars听each from R-1 QC听and the UU直播 Department of Family Medicine. The winning projects are:
Screening for iron deficiency, with or without anemia, among vulnerable children 0-5 years old: a feasibility study, directed by Patricia Li and Josiane Cyr
Facilitators, Barriers and Potential Interventions for Pediatric to Adult Transition from the Perspective of Clients and Clinicians, led by Peter Nugus and Diana Ramos

During the year, both projects benefited from a mentoring process and an online course (PBRN: Introduction to Research and Scholarly Activity). The protocols are thus ready to be submitted on September 30, 2019. They will also be able to apply for the call for research projects on innovations for the year 2019-2020.
  2. Three projects for the call for research projects on innovations: of the four听scholarships of 20,000 dollars听awarded by R-1 QC, two听were awarded to UU直播's PBRN projects. The selection was based on the excellence and relevance of the project. The winning projects are:
