Dr James Martin, Chair, Department of Medicine, UU直播, Dr Susan Kahn,聽Director, JGH Centre of Excellence in Thrombosis and Anticoagulation Care,聽and Dr Vicky Tagalakis,聽Director, Division of General Internal Medicine, UU直播 are pleased to announce the appointment of聽Dr聽Maral Koolian as Program Director of UU直播鈥檚 new AFC (Area of Focused Competence) in Adult Thrombosis Medicine, effective September 1, 2018.聽 Adult Thrombosis Medicine is that area of enhanced competence within medicine concerned with the investigation, diagnosis, and medical management of patients with venous and arterial thromboembolic disease in a variety of clinical contexts. Dr. Koolian is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine, based at the Jewish General Hospital. She earned her medical degree at UU直播, where she subsequently completed post-graduate training in General Internal Medicine. She then completed a 1-year thrombosis fellowship at the University of Ottawa, followed by a Master鈥檚 in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the University of Toronto.
