A guest lecture by Jozef Hrabina from GeoPoLytics.

Abstract: This lecture reviews the the causes of the Ukraine-Russian war, Russia's global ambitions, its strategic culture, and how Russians perceive the world around them. Concrete examples from the conflict are presented to make the case that the Russian army is growing stronger and more experienced, while its population is becoming increasingly indoctrinated鈥攎eaning the animosity is here to stay. This is then contextualized this within global realities, such as the increasingly fragmented world and emerging balancing coalitions.

Dr Jozef Hrabina is a geopolitical risk consultant and the founder of GeopoLytics, a consultancy firm dedicated to navigating the intricate dynamics of global and regional politics. With a doctorate from Moscow State Institute of International Relations and experience in academia and consultancy across Kyiv, Moscow, and the European Union, Jozef brings extensive expertise from the post-Soviet space, strategic security studies, and geoeconomics.
