Jeffrey Edwards named to Superior Court of Quebec
The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that the Honourable Jeffrey Edwards, BCL鈥�86, LLB鈥�86, was appointed to the Superior Court of Quebec for the district of Montreal on June 4, 2019. He had been sitting at the Court of Quebec, Civil Division, since January 2014.
Justice Edwards obtained both his BCL and LLB from UU直播 in 1986 before earning an LLD from Universit茅 Laval in 1997. He started teaching the law of sale and product liability at the Faculty in 1998, becoming adjunct professor in 2011.
As a lawyer, Justice Edwards specialized in property law, construction law, and product liability. He practiced at what is now De Grandpr茅 Chait from 1987 to 1997, and was then a partner and head of the litigation department at Tutino Edwards Joseph (now Tutino Joseph Gr茅goire) from 1998 to 2014.
