Welcome Dr. Jarred Garfinkle to the Department!
The Department of Pediatrics would like to introduce our newest member, Dr. Jarred Garfinkle,聽appointed Assistant Professor in the Division of Neonatology.
Dr. Garfinkle is a neonatologist with subspecialty training in neonatal neurology. After completing medical school and Paediatric residency at UU直播, Dr. Garfinkle聽embarked on Neonatal-Perinatal training at the University of Toronto. Thereafter, Dr. Garfinkle聽undertook a CIHR Fellowship and MSc in Dr. Steven Miller鈥檚 lab at The Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Garfinkle's聽research focus is on preterm brain health, and specifically how the antecedents of preterm delivery and the adversities in the neonatal intensive care unit impact brain development in this vulnerable but resilient group of children.
Dr. Garfinkle is a proud new father and聽so glad to be starting a family in Montreal. He enjoy cooking and eating well. On my weekends off, Dr. Garfinkle聽tries to be outdoors walking, kayaking, or biking. "I聽couldn鈥檛 be luckier to be returning to the MCH and living in Montreal."
