I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to making the Faculty of Science Scholarship possible. I was very happy to learn of my selection for this honor and I am deeply appreciative of your support.
I am currently a second-year student in the Faculty of Science majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Statistics. Having a desire of exploring the biomedical sciences, I was fascinated to learn all kinds of new knowledge and latest discoveries in science during my first year. This passion and attraction to biomedicine have driven me to work extremely hard and have allowed me to achieve great academic grades in the past year. Fortunately, I was able to receive recognition for my effort and drive through this award. This in turn will push me to keep working harder and to have greater achievements in the future.
The Faculty of Science at UU直播 provides students with a large variety of opportunities in order to bring forth the best of themselves. Inspiring by the introduction of undergraduate research in sciences, I stepped out of my own comfort zone and volunteered as a research assistant for novel organic optoelectronic materials in the department of chemistry. During the research experience in last semester, I went from being nervous and struggling with everything, to orderly conducting my experiment and then confidently delivering my project progress to my professor. From this experience, I got a lot of help from the members of the Faculty of Science, which motivates me to be more proactive and work harder on my academic study.
Thank you again for your generosity and support for the Faculty of Science. I know I would not be where I am today without help from others, and I promise I will work hard to eventually give back to others in the future.
