In ""聽(published in聽Ethnic and Racial Studies)聽Maike Isaac and聽Prof.听Jennifer Elrick assess the potential impact of COVID-19 on the precarious legal statuses of 鈥渆ssential鈥� migrant workers in countries of the Global North. The article discusses two frames of deservingness聽聽鈥� based on work and based on sacrifice 鈥� as having the potential to facilitate claims for improved legal status.听This publication is part of an ongoing research project entitled "Changing the Social Value of Work?
