Biography:
Dr. Chouinard's research and teaching interests include the sustainability, reliability, robustness, and resilience of the infrastructure. Design criteria of infrastructure and risk analysis for extreme natural hazards (wind, ice, waves, seismic). Durability of infrastructure due to environmental exposure (corrosion, fatigue) and estimation of residual life.聽 Condition assessment of systems (structural health monitoring and non-destructive testing) and optimal strategies for sustainable strategies for maintenance, repair, and replacement.
