The Library hasautomatically renewedall checked-out items that were originally due between March 1, 2020 and January 3, 2021. The new due date for these materials will be January 4, 2021. After January 4, checked-out itemswill automatically be renewed unless the user account has expired or if a hold is placed on the item.
Please note that virtual reference serviceswill not be available on Monday, September 7 in observance of LabourDay.

The Library is pleased to announce that UUֱ students, faculty and staff can now take advantage of an expanded Terrace Pickup Service for print books not available electronically or through the HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS). Phase two of this service provides access to books housed in the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex (Humanities, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering), Nahum Gelber Law Library, the Islamic Studies Library and the Marvin Duchow Music Library. Materials from other branches are not available at this time.

The initial rollout of this service will provide access to books housed in the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex and the Nahum Gelber Law Library only. Materials from other branches will not be available during the first phase of this service.
UUֱ Library is partnering with the Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire (BCI) and a coalition of 17 other Quebec universities to provide the Quebec scholarly community with access to three digital platforms. This includes a unified catalogue orLibrary Shared Services Platform (SSP) that will provide access to more than 20 million documents across the 18 collections and is supported by OCLC's WorldShare Management Services (WorldCat).
This week, UUֱ Library staff members will begin to check-in items that have been returned during the closure period. In order to begin this process, the UUֱ Library staff members will cancel all holds and requests placed on UUֱ items.
Users who have placed a hold on a returned item will get a notice indicating that their hold has been cancelled.
Please note that users will be able to place new holds once the Library is open and items can be made accessible for browsing.

New in WorldCat Discovery: Refreshed My Account interface gives library users an enhanced experience
We hope you like thenew My Account experience in WorldCat Discovery - it was developed with accessibility and responsive design in mind.The new interface complies with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines.
Similar to the former My Account page, library users will now see a list of checked out items, hold requests, and outstanding fees. The Checked Out tab now includes the exact date and time when an item is due as well as the ability to select multiple items to renew at once.
Please note that virtual reference serviceswill not be available on Wednesday, June 24 and Wednesday, July 1in observance ofLa fête nationale/Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day and Canada Day respectively.
