The momentum for embracing Indigenous philosophies and promoting strategic practices is evident across universities in Canada. Let us commit to these support reconciliatory efforts that work for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples as we learn to walk and grow together. What are some of the strategies that universities听have engaged听in to ensure that Indigenous philosophies and practices that support and lead reconciliation efforts? These critical points will be shared in this talk to support the leadership efforts that Universities are advancing. Dr.
This year's Pow wow at UU直播 will be hosted at the Tomlinson Fieldhouse. The agenda includes a diverse variety of cultural dancing, song, and vendors, such as: Inuit throat singing, M茅tis jigging, Intertribals, and a vendor set-up.听

Candace Brunette-Debassige (PhD) shares her experience and research on Indigenous women's experiences in academia, emphasizing how their stories as trailblazers advance Indigenous rights and collective educational needs in Canadian universities today.听
Dr. Brunette-Debassige is Mushkego Cree iskwew of Petabeck First Nation (Treaty 9) and an Assistant Professor & Director of Indigenous Education at Western University.听
鈥淛oyce鈥檚 Principle aims to guarantee to all Indigenous people the right of equitable access, without any discrimination, to all social and health services, as well as the right to enjoy the best possible physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.鈥
Joyce's Principle is a document created by the Atikamekw Nation and Manawan First Nation following the death of Mrs. Joyce Echaquan on Sept. 28, 2020, at the Joliette Hospital Center in Lanaudi猫re, Qu茅bec, during which she was subjected to verbally violent and racist statements by health workers.
