A new paper led by the Earthquake Seismology group recently published, exploring spatial and temporal patterns of whale calls detected by land seismometers along the Lower St. Lawrence Seaway in Eastern Canada.听

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2024 Interdisciplinary Research Development (IRD) Award, announced earlier this month! As part of the听Computational & Data Systems Initiative, these awards are presented by the听UU直播 Collaborative for AI & Society听and encourage interdisciplinary research aimed at understanding and positively influencing the impact of AI on society through projects targeting a range of issues.

The 2024 Gairdner Symposium "Diet, Bodywieght and Cancer Risk", will be hosted by a world-leader in oncometabolism听research, the听Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute. This event will听bring together approximately 150 biomedical and clinical researchers, clinicians, health professionals, and the public to broaden understanding, foster collaboration, and empower stake holders to address the challenges posed by obesity-related chronic diseases and cancer.
