The mission of Palliative Care UUÖ±²¥ is to improve the field of palliative care and enable persons with life-threatening and life limiting illnesses and their families to live with optimal quality of life.Ìý Palliative Care UUÖ±²¥ aims to achieve these objectives by becoming a center for academic excellence under the following four headings:

The Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence opened in 2002Ìýas a 23 bed residence, where terminally ill patients could spend their final days in comfort and dignity in a warm, home-like environment, close to their family andÌýin their community.

The CHPCA is the national voice for hospice palliative care in Canada.Ìý Advancing and advocating for quality end of life hospice palliative care in Canada, its work includes public policy, public education and awareness.Ìý Established in 1991, its volunteer Board of Directors is composed of hospice palliative care workers and volunteers from Canadian provinces and territories as well as members-at-large.
