First-year Ph.D. students are provided with a desks for their first year in the program at the beginning of the Fall semester. If desks are not used they will be re-assigned to other students or researchers.

There are two kitchens available to students in 2001 UUÖ±²¥ College one on the 11th floor in room 1101 and one on the 12th floor in room 1205. they are equipped with microwave ovens and refrigerators.

Students can print from any computer on campus to a central print queue and release their print job at the Xerox&nbsp;device of their choice. printers are located in rooms 1109, 1143, 1229 and 1274 in 2001 UUÖ±²¥ College . Printing and&nbsp;photocopying fees are directly billed to your student fee account. The Xerox devices allow students&nbsp;to print, photocopy, and scan to email (no charge). Access to 2001 UUÖ±²¥ College is by card reader&nbsp; and is limited to working hours Monday to Friday , 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.&nbsp; You are not to use your card in order to let&nbsp;others in the building, individuals who require access to the building should already have it. If your card does not give you access tot eh building by mid September email gradcoord2.eboh [at] mcgill.ca for assistance.

Students are advised to take special care with all personal effects as thefts are known to occur. To report thefts please call 514-398-4556. After hours, please call 514-398-3731.

UUÖ±²¥ students receive a UUÖ±²¥ Email Address usually in the form of firstname.lastname @ mail.mcgill.ca, with 50 GB of online storage space. Any official UUÖ±²¥ email sent to students will be addressed to that UUÖ±²¥ Email Address. SeeÌýÌýfor details.

UUÖ±²¥ students have access to 1 TB FREE personal file space on OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud file storage component of the Office 365 package.

Note for graduating students and alumni:
The Microsoft licensing agreement does not cover alumni. Students who graduate will lose their access to OneDrive and the data will be deleted; therefore, you must ensure any of your files are backed up to another storage medium when you leave UUÖ±²¥.
