Guests and Seating

Fall 2024 Convocation is a ticketed event. Each guest will need a ticket. Tickets will be sold at $20+tax/per ticket. Graduands will be issued a link closer to the Convocation date and will be able to purchase guest tickets. If there are additional seats available, graduands will be able to purchase additional tickets for their guests. The additional tickets will be available one to two days prior to the ceremony date.

Tickets will not have any assigned seating. Seating for guests with tickets will be on a first come first served basis.


The Venue

´¡±ô±ôÌý¹ó²¹±ô±ôÌý³¦´Ç²Ô±¹´Ç³¦²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²ÔÌýceremonies (includingÌýthe Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences) are held atÌý.ÌýPlease refer toÌýÌý´Ç°ùÌýÌýto determine the best route to access the venue.

Place des Arts:Ìý, Montreal, QC H2X 1Y9 (entrance on the Place des Arts metro level).

The entrance to Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier is at the Place des Arts metro level. Graduands are asked to arriveÌýONE HOUR AND A HALFÌý²ú±ð´Ú´Ç°ù±ðÌýthe ceremony.ÌýPlace des Arts ushers will be onsite to show graduands where they can prepare for the ceremony. Once all the graduands have been let in, family and guests will be welcomed into the venue.Ìý

Getting to the Venue

Metro/Bus

TheÌýÌýis located right next to the venue on theÌý, providing a convenient transportation option.ÌýThis is the simplest and most recommended mode of transportation when attending convocation.

Public transportation in the city is handled by the Société de transport de Montréal ().

Fares:

$3.75 for one trip; $7.00 for two.
Unlimited evening pass (6:00pm-5:00am): $6.00.
Day pass (24 hours): $11.00.
3-day pass: $21.25.
Unlimited weekend pass: $15.25.

If you are arriving from the airport on the , you will already possess a 24-hour day metro/bus pass. Guests arriving by airplane can consult this for information on how to get to the city from the airport.

Parking

The best option is to leave your car at home and avoid the traffic in the city core. Montreal has many one-way streets and traffic customs you may be unfamiliar with. All street signs will be in French.Ìý

However, if you must bring your vehicle downtown, Place des Arts offersÌý, and there is metered street parking available. There are also a few parking lots close to Place des Arts.ÌýFor further information, consult thisÌý.

Access Ramps

The main entrances to Salle Wilfrid-PelletierÌý() is equipped with a rampÌýand drop-off area, outdoors and indoors, to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility or who use wheelchairs.

Parking

People with reduced mobility have access to a number of reservedÌýÌýat Place des Arts. Learn more at the parking attendant’s box or reserve your space by calling 514 842-2112.

Accessible parking spaces for people with reduced mobility can be found easily on all three levels of the P-1 parking lot. They are located close to an elevator that leads to the venue entrance. Other spaces are located in section P of the P-2 parking lot on the same floor as the main lobby leading to the show venues.

Getting Around Inside

If you need a wheelchair to facilitate your moving around inside Place des Arts, visit the central security station near the rue Saint-Urbain entrance.ÌýPlease note we have a limited number of wheelchairs.

People Who Are Hearing-Impaired

All venues at Place des Arts are equipped with an audio system that enables people who are hearing-impaired to tune in to the show’s signal. Simply bring your portable radio or music device with headphones and tune in to the dedicated frequency for the venue,Ìý90.9 FM.
