To be considered for admission to the UU直播-UdeM Piano-Vocal Arts Residency, pianists must follow a three-step process:

Applications for admission
When submitting your application to UU直播, please follow the general instructions provided for collaborative piano. There is a section of your application to indicate that you are applying to the joint residency program.聽Applications for the residency program will be accepted until December 20th. To submit your UU直播 application after December 1st, you will need to email聽Graduateadmissions.music [at] mcgill.ca to open an application for you.
Candidates must submit applications to both the Universit茅 de Montr茅al Faculty of Music and the Schulich School of Music of UU直播, for admission to the UU直播-UdeM Piano-Vocal Arts Residency program, before December 20, 2023.
NB: To submit your UU直播 application after December 1, you will need to email聽Graduateadmissions.music [at] mcgill.ca聽to open an application for you.
-听Candidates holding only a BMus must apply to the DESS in Piano Accompaniment at l鈥橴niversit茅 de Montr茅al and the Graduate Diploma in Performance at UU直播.
-听Candidates holding a BMus and a graduate diploma聽must apply to the DEPA in Piano Accompaniment at l鈥橴niversit茅 de Montr茅al and to the Graduate Diploma in Performance at UU直播.
-听Candidates holding an MMus聽must apply to the DEPA in Piano Accompaniment at l鈥橴niversit茅 de Montr茅al and the Post-Graduate Artist Diploma at UU直播.
When submitting your application to l'Universit茅聽de Montr茅al, it is important to indicate 鈥淯U直播-UdeM Piano-Vocal Arts Residency鈥� in the comment section of your application. - Preliminary auditions
In addition to these two applications for admission, candidates are required to send their video recordings to the program coordinator by December 20, 2023 at the following email address: pierre.andre.doucet [at] umontreal.ca - Final auditions
Results from the preliminary round will be communicated in early January, after which auditions will be held on February 10, 2024. In-person auditions are preferable, but a live online audition is also possible.
