The UUÖ±²¥ Nursing Collaborative for Education and Innovation in Patient – and –Family –Centered Care was inaugurated in September of 2012. It is supported by an initial gift of $6 million to the founding partners - the Ingram School of Nursing and the Nursing Departments of the UUÖ±²¥ Health Centre (MUHC) and the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) - by the Newton Foundation and the partner institutions’ Foundations and donors.

As of September 2018, the UUÖ±²¥ Nursing Collaborative is facilitating more than a dozen ongoing projects, with the direct involvement of over 100 nurses working in Montreal. These projects tackle a wide range of issues in nursing practice and education, from providing leadership training to nursing clinicians and faculty, to helping UUÖ±²¥ students make the professional transition from student to nurse, to improving opioid monitoring for adult patients.

By facilitating collaboration between academic and clinical settings, the UUÖ±²¥ Nursing Collaborative helps to support innovations in improving nursing care for patients and their families.
