The purpose of the FRQSC鈥檚 Research Support for New Academics program is to assist researchers who have just launched their careers to become established as independent researchers, and also more competitive nationally and internationally.

New researchers in social sciences and humanities, arts and literature who are planning to听apply to the upcoming FRQSC fall 2017 competition are encouraged to attend this information session, which will include:

路听听听听听听 A brief听presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the Research Support for New Academics program by听Joanna Mastalerek and Maureen Donato, Grants Officers, Social Sciences and Humanities team at the Office of Sponsored Research;

路听听听听听听 presentations from Prof. Lauren Human (Department of Psychology) and Prof. Tove Holmes (Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures), who will share their experiences as grant awardees and reviewers under this program and strategies for creating a successful proposal;

路听听听听听听 a听question and answer period听where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the application process.听Those who are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited to send their inquiries to听maureen [dot] donato [at] mcgill [dot] ca (Maureen Donato听)(ext. 2141) or Joanna Mastalerek听(ext. 7300) in advance so that they may be included in the session.
