Information Session: FRQSC鈥檚 Start鈥怳p Program for New Research Professors

"脡tablissement de nouveaux professeurs chercheurs"
For your convenience there will be two sessions offered:

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The purpose of the FRQSC鈥檚 Start鈥怳p Program for New Research Professors is to assist new researchers who have just launched their careers to become established as independent researchers and to become competitive nationally and internationally.
New researchers in social sciences and humanities, arts and literature, who are planning to 听apply to the upcoming FRQSC Fall 2015 competition are encouraged to attend this information session that will include:
- brief听presentations about the objectives and requirements of the Start-Up Program for New Research Professor Grants by Grants Officers Lauren Clark and Joanna Mastalerek;
- presentations of UU直播 researchers with experience as grant awardees under this program. They听will provide potential applicants with insider information about strategies for creating a successful proposal.
On Thursday, August 27th, the presenters will be
- Prof. Anna Berman, Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, Faculty of Arts and
- Prof. Thomas Dotzel, Faculty of Management
On Tuesday, September 1st, the presenters will be
- Prof. Fr茅d茅ric M茅gret, Faculty of Law and
- Prof. Vandna Sinha, School of Social Work
- a听question and answer period听where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the application process.听Those who are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited to send their inquiries to听joanna.mastalerek [at] mcgill.ca (Joanna Mastalerek) (ext. 7300) or lauren.clark [at] mcgill.ca (Lauren Clark) (ext. 4880) in advance so that they may be included in the session.
