James Administration Building #301, 845 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 2T7, CA

The purpose of the SSHRC Partnership Development Grants (PDG) is to provide support over one to three years for teams working in formal collaboration between postsecondary institutions and/or organizations of various types in the social sciences and humanities.

SSHRC Partnership Engage Grants (PEG) are similar, providing short-term (one year) and timely support for partnered research activities that will inform decision-making at a single partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector (partner cannot be postsecondary institution).

Researchers in social sciences and humanities, arts and literature who are planning to apply to the upcoming PDG and PEG competitions are encouraged to attend this information session, which will include:

  • An overview of the objectives and application requirements of the SSHRC PDG and PEG funding opportunities byMichelle Picard-Aitken, Grants and Agreements Officer;
  • A presentation from Prof. Dror Etzion (Desautels Faculty of Management), successful applicant and member of the SSHRC PEG adjudication committee, who will provide potential applicants with information about the SSHRC peer-review system and strategies for preparing a successful proposal; and
  • A听question and answer period听where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the application process.听

Those who are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited to send their inquiries to michelle.picard-aitken [at] mcgill.ca (Michelle Picard-Aitken) (ext. 3348) in advance so that they may be included in the session.
