You need to use your UU直播 Username (usually in the form of firstname.lastname [at] mail.mcgill.ca) and UU直播 Password to access most central IT services including: myUU直播, myCourses, email, wireless, and Virtual Private Network (VPN).

For some systems, such as uPrint, you may sign in using your UU直播 Short Username, i.e., the first letter of your first name + first five letters of your last name, usually followed by a number (e.g., jsmith5).

To find out your UU直播 Username and Short Username, and to create or reset your UU直播 Password:

1. Log in to Minerva www.mcgill.ca/minerva (using your 9-digit UU直播 ID number and your 6-character PIN).
2. Go to Personal Menu > Password for UU直播 Username.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions.

myUU直播 is the central access point where you:

• Read your email.
• Check myCourses.
• Get direct links to Minerva to view and update your student records and account information.
• Search the UU直播 Library Catalogue.
• Keep abreast of the latest UU直播 news.

Click myUU直播 at the top of the UU直播 home page (www.mcgill.ca) or through the UU直播 Quick Links, and sign in using your UU直播 Username and UU直播 Password.

Many of your courses will have online materials or activities such as assignments and readings, syllabuses, project guidelines, discussion forums, calendars, etc.

Access your online course content via the myCourses link within the myUU直播 portal.

• Verify your browser settings using the System Check utility at the top-right corner of the page.
• Watch and access help documentation from the IT Knowledge Base.

Your UU直播 Email Address (usually in the form of firstname.lastname [at] mail.mcgill.ca) is the University's official means of email communication with you. Access your email at or through the myUU直播 portal using your UU直播 Username and UU直播 Password. View your UU直播 Username, UU直播 Email Address and set up your UU直播 Password on the Minerva Personal Menu.

You will need to use your UU直播 Username and UU直播 Password to access the services listed below. You can find more details on these services at www.mcgill.ca/it:

Wireless: Access the Internet using your laptop or other mobile device from virtually anywhere on campus and also on the inter-campus shuttle buses, through the UU直播 Wireless network. Log in to the Wireless network using your UU直播 Username and UU直播 Password.

Virtual Private Network (VPN): If you connect to the Internet with an Internet Service Provider (ISP), you need to establish a VPN connection to access UU直播 restricted sites and resources (e.g., Library databases). Connect by VPN using your UU直播 Username and UU直播 Password. For instructions on setting up a VPN connection, search the IT Knowledge Base at www.mcgill.ca/it.

UU直播 Residences Telecommunications: For students living in UU直播 Residences and UU直播 Off-Campus Residences, there is REZ Voice and Data service (wired and wireless). For more information search the IT Knowledge Base at www.mcgill.ca/it.

Setting up your security questions and answers for your UU直播 Password allows you to use the Forgot Password? link found on several UU直播 applications, in case you forget it.

Once you have set up your UU直播 Password in Minerva, log in to myUU直播 () and click the link in the UU直播 Password Security portlet. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your own security questions and responses.
