The College of Family Physicians of Canada has created a guide for family medicine teachers called "" It outlines the roles of Family Medicine teachers, and provides practical tools to help teachers expand their teaching activities and roles. It describes fundamental teaching activities and outlines teaching competencies. The Fundamental Teaching Activities (FTA) Framework can help teachers understand the activities that are expected of them and provide a road map to guide their self-reflection and continuing professional development as teachers.
