Name and website information Description

Calcul QuĆ©bec is an umbrella organization composed of QuĆ©bec Universities brought together by advanced research computing (ARC). These member Universities, committed to better serve the needs of the research community through collaboration, pooled together their human and material ARC resources under the Calcul QuĆ©bec banner. To meet the demands of todayā€™s researchers, Calcul QuĆ©bec relies on three main components:

  • Data centers hosting supercomputers at the leading edge of technology
  • Teams of highly qualified advanced research computing specialists
  • The excellence and expertise of QuĆ©bec researchers in all spheres of knowledge

Canadian National Research & Education Network infrastructure organization named CANARIE builds and oversees our coast-to-coast network supporting all post-secondary institutions in Canada. CANARIE manages and provides a private network and bandwidth capacity to researchers across the country, which so far, no commercial offering has been able to match.
Canadian Shared Security Operations Centre (CanSSOC) is an initiative to build a national security center to support higher education institutions across the country. Out of the six founding university members, two (U of Toronto and UUÖ±²„) have been identified as centers of expertise and provide services to support CanSSOC.

Canadian Universities Council of CIO (CUCCIO) Is an association for university CIOs in Canada. It is a useful community for Canadian CIOs to share knowledge and work on national initiatives.

EDUCAUSEĀ is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education through the use of information technology. TheyĀ equip our community with the knowledge, resources, and community-building opportunities needed to help shape strategic IT decisions at every level in higher education. They provide research data, community resources and benchmarking data.

RĆ©seau dā€™informations scientifiques du QuĆ©bec (RISQ) is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to develop, operate, and maintain a private telecommunications network to provide its members with broadband Internet and advanced network security solutions.
